Fun Time @ Beaverton Park Fountain

We all went to the Beaverton Water Park Fountain. As you can see Jackson had a great time. The Ice Cream Man showed up...Todd treated us to some yummy treats & Jackson made his rounds getting "big" bites of each of our treats. The water was on the chilly side and you can see this in Jackson's face in one of the pics.

Rest in Peace RANDY PAUSCH

'Last Lecture' Professor Randy Pausch Dies at 47

I first saw Randy on the "Oprah Show" where he gave an abbreviated version of the 'Last Lecture'. The full presentation was shown on cable sometime later(a little over an hour long)...both Todd & I watched it together. He will INSPIRE you! I also have his book 'The Last Lecture', that was published this past April if anyone would like to borrow it. This is the version shown on Oprah (~10 min.) and you can see the full version on UTUBE.

"Wicking" PJs

Well...I finally decided to splurge and purchase these
"wicking" pj's and nightgown (the nightgown is actually
tea length). I have been experiencing hot flashes, and
would wake up hot and then get chilled which resulted
in interrupted sleep and take sometimes along time
before I could go back to sleep because of chills.
The benefits of this sleepwear are:
*superior wicking keeps you dry
*rapid evaporation so the fabric stays dry too
*soft cotton feel so it's always cozy
They are on the expensive side, but made very well, with
no tags. I definitely have been getting better nights of
sleep...usually sleeping right through the night.

Our New Hammock-new pics

Last evening, I was relaxing in the hammock reading a
magazine. Somehow, Todd was able to sneak up on me and get
these photos. I must have been involved in some exciting story!
Todd dug the new hole for the post on Saturday. We hung the hammock on Sunday, but need to wait 3 days for the concrete to cure before we use it.

The reason why we had new set a new post:While we were on vacation in Palm Springs, we had a neighbor boy watch our pets. He and his older brother used our old hammock as a swing. Who knows how high they were able to get the hammock to go, but a some point one of the posts snapped, and down came the youngest one...luckily no one was hurt.

(It would have been fun to have a video of this!)
