My FAVORITE Photo (so far)

I updated this photo using "Picnik" software

Jackson & Abby-October

Jackson & Abby spent Thurs. & Friday together. They really had a fun time together, with Abby being the big helper around the house. Jackson was with us because his Mommy went into labor, and Abby was here because her brother was having surgury. Abby went with me on Friday to get a gift for our new granddaughter, Adelynnne. She helped me choose some outfits and picked out the gift bag for it to go in.

Update on Stacie

Stacie went to her OB doctor on Friday...she is 5cm and they don't think she will last through next week. They had her fill out her admittance form that day...she was going to do it next Friday. The doctor said that it's about a 6 lb. baby...maybe this means it's a GIRL! She is in her 37th wk and she was 37 wks when Jackson was born and he was 7lb 11oz. If she has the baby on Oct. 6...this was Stacie's actual due date for her birth, but due to me needing emergency surgery in my 37th wk, it sent me into labor and she was born the next day. Stay tuned...I may have some exciting news this week!!!

Portland's "Race for the Cure" 2008

Sunday was Portland's 17th Annual Susan G. Koman "Race for the Cure". The Portland event is 3rd largest in the world with this year, an attendance of 45,000 and the largest event held on the West Coast. This was so awesome and inspiring to see survivors, lost loved ones of family & friends and us as friends who came together to support this great cause. After the event, we went to the Heathman Hotel for an incredibly scrumptious brunch. Kristen and I plan to make this a yearly tradition event and I would love it if family & friends would join us next year.

Jackson's Day w/ Nana & Papa

(Alec is on the left in red uniform)
Jackson spent the day with Nana & Papa on Saturday. Stacie dropped him off to enjoy an "Expectant Mother's" Spa Day. We headed over to join Kristen & the kids to watch her son, Alec's soccer game. Jackson was very content just sitting in his stroller watching...the bright uniforms and ball being kicked back & forth really kept his interest. We returned home and Jackson had fun playing w/ Papa with the "Little People Bus" and Matchbox cars; he even had to show his car to Mieko.

Our 10th Anniversary Plans

"Vacation Village @ Weston"

We have finalized our plans for our 10th Anniversary : We'll be on an Eastern Caribbean Cruise out of Miami the first week of March and then we booked a resort the following week near Ft. Lauderdale. Our flight will fly into/out of Ft. Lauderdale. (The airfare was cheaper) We plan to rent a convertable & drive from Miami to our resort. Todd has a friend in Ft. Lauderdale and I have cousins in Lakeland, FL that we would love to hook up with while were there.

Jackson's 1st Haircut

Here are a couple of pictures of Jackson getting his 1st haircut back in July, when he was 15 months old. I saw Matt & Heather's BLOG, which reminded me about Jackson. He got his haircut @ Pigtales & Crewcuts located in Tannasborne.

Jackson is 17 months old
Last weekend, Jackson was running, fell & hit a lamp. He put two teeth through his bottom lip and needed stitches. They were in Sunriver at the time and had to rush him to Bend Memorial Hospital. The hospital staff needed to put him in a straight-jacket in order to put two stitches in. You would never be able to tell that this is what Jackson went through 4 days ago...full of energy and it doesn't seem to bother him at all (The stitches are under his bottom lip...see photo)

This is Stacie's new haircut! She is now 33 weeks along...only 47 days to go. I can't wait to welcome this little one and find out if we will have a new granddaughter or grandson.

We were camping @ Cove Palisades State Park with Dale & Dale and their kids, Aslynn & Erica; and Shawn & Cindi w/ their kids, Loran, Clare, Luke, & John. Lake Billy Chinook is formed by the Deschutes, Metolius, & Crooked Rivers. We enjoyed water activities at the "Cove", canooing, hiking, & roasting marshmellows by the campfire

The Hillsboro Air Show

Todd & I went to the Hillsboro Air Show on Sunday & had a great time. Todd got in free because he's a veteran and we decided to get seats in the reserved section. It unbelievable how much more you see. The weather was mostly cloudy and the mid 70's...actually perfect weather to watch an event outside. The clouds provided a nice backdrop to see everything without having the glare of the sun and you could actually take some great pictures!

Fun Time @ Beaverton Park Fountain

We all went to the Beaverton Water Park Fountain. As you can see Jackson had a great time. The Ice Cream Man showed up...Todd treated us to some yummy treats & Jackson made his rounds getting "big" bites of each of our treats. The water was on the chilly side and you can see this in Jackson's face in one of the pics.

Rest in Peace RANDY PAUSCH

'Last Lecture' Professor Randy Pausch Dies at 47

I first saw Randy on the "Oprah Show" where he gave an abbreviated version of the 'Last Lecture'. The full presentation was shown on cable sometime later(a little over an hour long)...both Todd & I watched it together. He will INSPIRE you! I also have his book 'The Last Lecture', that was published this past April if anyone would like to borrow it. This is the version shown on Oprah (~10 min.) and you can see the full version on UTUBE.

This is a UTUBE video...It will bring tears to your eyes and give you goosebumps. This is just incrediable! May the best of our friendships be just like this. The power of love knows no bounds.
